Workplace Sciences' approach to creating knowledgeable workers utilizes hands-on application of the subjects learned in the classroom setting. By the selection of a pilot production process to reengineer a cross-functional team will be coached on the various aspects of systems improvement. Coaching is performed on a team and on a one-on-one basis; from top management to the individual process operator. A process transformation project will be executed from start to finish allowing the team to achieve a successful implementation. The key coaching subjects covered during the pilot project include:
Once a pilot project is completed the team will be empowered to duplicate the process transformation success on to other operations and to train others in its implementation.
Many of Workplace Sciences Academy teacher-coaches have written and published technical articles and provided presentations on various aspects of production management, engineering and human resource development. Their contributions have been recognized in several individual honors and awards from leading professional societies and corporations. |
