With over twenty five years of industrial engineering and lean management practice René has specialized in factory, warehouse and distribution center startups and reengineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master degree in Human Resource Development. Rene has a successful career history of managing and advising technology-based companies on how to increase their operating efficiencies, reduce production costs and improve their competitive positions. Mr. Galarza served as Director of Engineering for E-M-Solutions (now Sanmina), a contract manufacturing corporation specializing in wire & cable production, electro-mechanical assembly and material management services. He also served as Director of Distribution for the national distribution center of Experimental & Applied Sciences (EAS), a leading sports nutritional corporation. He has developed, implemented and consulted in process reengineering and start-up projects for companies like Texas Instruments, Storage Technology, Compaq (now HP), Direct Alliance, Quantum, Celestica, Mackie Designs (Seattle & Italy) and Peavey Electronics. He also develops training programs tailored to the customers specific workplace performance needs. René is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and past chapter president (Texoma, TX & Rocky Mountain, CO) of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). |
